Petty Pool is delighted to announce that Dan Bird, a standout participant from the most recent series of BBC’s “The Traitors,” has joined the charity as a patron. Dan, who openly shared his autism diagnosis on the show, brings a unique and personal perspective to our mission of supporting neurodivergent individuals.
Dan’s journey on “The Traitors” captivated audiences, not only for his strategic gameplay but also for his candid discussions about living with autism. His openness has inspired many and aligns perfectly with Petty Pool’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
In 2024, Dan authored his first book, ‘Go Neuro Way – an autistic person’s guide to travelling the world’, which speaks of his experience travelling across 5 continents, and offering advice and guidance to others with autism, or those looking to support an autistic loved one.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dan Bird to the Petty Pool family,” said Sally Garratt, CEO of Petty Pool. “His advocacy and personal experience with neurodivergence will be invaluable as we continue to champion the rights and opportunities for neurodivergent individuals.”
Dan Bird, who works as a bank risk manager, expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “I am delighted to become a patron for Petty Pool. Their work resonates deeply with me as an organisation who support neurodivergent young people into independence, and I am excited to contribute to their efforts in creating a more inclusive society.”
