Project Learn Hive Appeal
Petty Pool is raising £11 million to develop a new outdoor education centre and SEND centre of excellence in Cheshire.
The build is proposed across three phases to include a new residential outdoor centre benefitting 6,000 school children every year, a community hub and updated state of the art college campus for up to 160 young people who have learning disabilities and difficulties.
With your help, we can ensure that young people are getting the very best outdoor education experiences and vocational training and will go on to thrive in their chosen life path.
Below is more information about how you can support our appeal
Why we need your help
- The number of young people over 16 with an EHCP has increased 40% in the last 5 years. There are not enough places in Cheshire to support this growth.
- Outdoor Education is a critical part of development and Petty Pool is committed to ensuring quality of provision and improved access for groups that are currently under-represented in the outdoors.
- The Adult day provision lacks variety, we want to provide an enriching offer.
- Only 4.5% of young people with a learning disability gain employment in Cheshire.
